The insurance job market is strong in Malta. Malta continues to be attractive to International Insurance companies as it builds on its existing success. An interesting trend in Malta is that there are increasing requests from our Insurance clients for specialist insurance service providers including captive insurance programmes. Also, the merging of major Insurance groups has created a movement between professionals in the area as well the creation of new job opportunities.
In the last few months, we see more demand for accounting professionals and technical insurance specialists in the insurance sector. Companies are willing to support or invest in people who have or are willing to get the CII which is the golden standard when it comes to insurance qualifications. There is some upward pressure on salaries for specialised roles such as Underwriting or Claims professionals.
